By accessing or using SaferLease at saferlease.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.

2. Description of Service

SaferLease provides an AI-powered lease analysis platform that reviews lease agreements and identifies potentially problematic clauses, assesses risk levels, and provides plain-English summaries. The Service is informational only and does not constitute legal advice, legal representation, or attorney-client communication.

3. Not Legal Advice

SaferLease is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The analysis provided by SaferLease is for informational purposes only. You should not rely on SaferLease analysis as a substitute for competent legal advice from a licensed attorney familiar with the laws of your jurisdiction. SaferLease does not create an attorney-client relationship.

4. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@saferlease.com of any unauthorized access to your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents you do not have the legal right to share.
• Use the Service to infringe on intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the platform.
• Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code.
• Misrepresent the Service's output as legal advice to third parties.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of subscription periods, except where required by law or as described in our refund policy.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and technology on SaferLease is owned by or licensed to SaferLease. You retain ownership of lease documents you upload. By uploading documents, you grant us a limited license to process them for the purpose of providing the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SAFERLEASE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE AI ANALYSIS IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR APPLICABLE TO YOUR SPECIFIC LEGAL SITUATION.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAFERLEASE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SaferLease harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Delaware for resolution of any disputes.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
